Embers offers opportunities to young creatives, brings afforable theatre to our community, and develops new work. Our work is highly collaborative. As a small, pop up theatre all members of the team work closely together to bring each Embers season to life.

PRODUCER

Practical leadership. Part time May through July, 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to plan each year’s season.

  • Assist with the development of the Embers network.

  • Serve as point of contact for satellite camp and tour locations.

  • Coordinate logistics for camps and tour.

  • Manage camp registration process through website.

Skills

  • Commitment to Embers mission, especially through community engagement.

  • Excellent skills in written and verbal communication.

  • Willingness to problem-solve and take initiative.

  • High level of organization and attention to detail.

 

MARKETING DIRECTOR

Communications and visuals. Part time. April through July, 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the integrity of Embers’ image in all communications.

  • Run yearly advertising campaign through Facebook Ads, Instagram, Church bulletins, local schools, and current email subscriber base.

  • Update and develop website content and format as needed.

  • Create flyers, advertisements, and social media posts.

  • Design and acquire merchandise to sell online and at performances.

  • Design and print programs for performances.

  • Create a 1 min video trailer for each camp and tour production.

Skills

  • Familiarity with basic video editing, ex: iMovie.

  • Basic experience with Squarespace website construction.

  • Quick and curious learner with an eye for detail.

  • Experienced in goal setting and project management.

  • Ability to take initiative and to create long-term strategies for marketing.

  • Effective written communication skills.

 

CAMP DIRECTOR

NOT HIRING for 2024 season.

One week long commitment.

Responsibilities

  • Cast actors.

  • Lead rehearsals.

  • Teach basic acting principles and techniques.

  • Teach acting styles, character development, and awareness.

  • Design and organize costumes and props for the end of the week show.

Skills

  • Knowledge of Embers’ camps, tone, and mission from prior Embers internship, acting in the 2021 tour of Something Extraordinary, or from being an Embers camper.

  • Accountable, responsible, and confident leader.

  • Takes initiative and is able to pivot quickly.

  • Experienced actor with leadership experience.

  • Effective verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate with a co-director.
